NISD's Cosmetology Academy now accepting applications

Attention all incoming Northwest ISD juniors! Are you interested in earning your state cosmetology certification?

Any incoming junior currently enrolled in NISD can earn their state cosmetology certification while still attending their current NISD high school. Juniors will attend the Cosmetology Academy at Steele Early College High School for the first three class periods of the day, then return to their main high school campus to complete their final four academic classes. Students can drive to Steele Early College High School or utilize NISD transportation services. The Cosmetology Academy is a two-year program and students can earn their Texas state Cosmetology certification for free.

Applications must be received by Friday, August 13, to join the two-year cohort. Students may apply for the Cosmetology Academy here.
